Ha! When I saw your picture, I thought It looked like it was in the Gorge. Sometimes, I really miss the PNWET.
Yesterday’s ride south from Plain WA to Carson WA was the west wind off of the Washington plains trying to kill me for 5 hours. From Carson WA to Oregon City today was a 42F 1 1/2 hour deluge like I’ve never ridden through before ever. A little hail an hour from home on the slab was the icing on the cake. Good times. Beautiful country though...

So, what did you think of the bike?
If I can’t fix the severe buffeting I’m getting riding it on the highway our time together will be short. The bike I test rode had a VStream windscreen on it and that worked so I’ll try one of those. Was also testing out my new to me Arai XD-4 and am sure the beak wasn’t helping things. I’ve got a trip to Wyoming planned on it in June mostly highway miles and 4 hours home today on the slab kicked my ass. I kind of couldn’t believe it today that the buffeting was nonstop. I’ll try my Shoei Neotec on it next as that’s a quiet helmet.

Side winds are the worst. And that's one of the reasons I don't have a helmet with a visor. Did you try raising/lowering the windshield?

No was on highest setting. Just ordered one of the cheap knockoff adjustable deflectors off that big online auction site and will go from there. Or I could move somewhere where there’s no wind.

Pugi touring for me in the highest setting. Might do the clip/bolt on to take it to another level.

Or only travel on East/West roads. :D Our winds are usually heavy out of the South. When they're not, they're heavy out of the North. Lucky for me, I don't end up on too many East/West roads.

Sunday last week the Dutch Yamaha Super Ténéré Facebook group gathered for the first ride-out of the year. There aren’t many in our country but there was still a good amount showing up. Group of 15 give or take. Fun day and there was a great route. Some members from this forum attended also, nice to meet them in person. Well organized, great lunch, weather was good and cool guys (and one lady). All in all 550km on the bike. My new record on one day.

No riding or scenery photos, just at start and lunch.

Was the 550km all ridden in the Netherlands or did you ride into other countries? I never get the opportunity to ride into another country living in Australia. I can ride 3000 kilometres north and west and still be riding away from my house. 1500 kms to the east and I end up in the ocean.
