Welcome to Romney Camp N Ride Week!!

Sometime in the next few days, most everyone reading this thread will be pointing their bikes towards Romney, WV. Going North, South, East, or West, please, have a fantastic and safe ride to the event.

I look forward to hearing the feedback I always hear about those of you attending the Camp N Ride. Business after business, interaction after interaction, you guys leave behind an amazingly positive impression everywhere you go. Personally, I love being associated with all of you and good feelings you bring to this region. Thanks for joining us at the Romney Cycles Camp N Ride.

Just a few of reminders.

There is no charge to attend this event. For those getting the chicken diner on Saturday night there is a $15 charge. The onsite food is a big fund raising event for The Ruritan Club. They are all supporting us as volunteers. If you appreciate them, please do let them know.

Reminder, we are all honored to be here to support the incredible Potomac Center. The need is overwhelming, but the amazing outpouring of charity and giving from the Camp N Ride attendees has always been inspirational. Year after year, our group always come through with astonishing giving. Last year was over $4,000. Let's make this another record breaking year. If you've been here for the last couple of events and seen the motorcycle lineup with the kids, you already know how how special our Camp N Riders are to the kids. It's an experience. Please consider making a donation to The Potomac Center. 100% of the proceeds from the raffle go to The Potomac Center.

Everyone camping will actually be sleeping on Potomac Center property. Please be respectful and keep all 4-wheeled vehicles off the grass. Motorcycles are fine in the grass.

Of course, Romney Cycles does this event at no charge to the riders. If you appreciate their efforts, please let them know.

Have a great ride in everyone. Be safe and we'll see you in a couple of days.
What he said!

Going to repeat because it became an issue last year - NO FOUR WHEEL VEHICLES ON THE GRASS!!!

I'll be posting the ICE sheets Wednesday or Thursday. Will have the shirts and hope to arrive Thursday evening.

Forecast at this point is under 50% chance of showers Saturday morning to end by 10am and hopefully hold off till after midnight into Sunday. While Sunday night should be wet, it becomes less than 45% by 8am, and the day is supposed to get better after that.

Those who've attended before are familiar with our "In Case of Emergency" (ICE) sheets that we ask everybody to fill out and carry in their chest pocket. For the first timers, we've had some people get injured and nobody in their group knew their real name or what to do with them, so we created this form. NOBODY but you will hopefully need to see this info, but if you are hurt it will let people know you as something more than "Joe" or your avatar name, "Doofus."

Here's one if you want to fill it out before-hand and we will plenty of have these at the check-in desk when you arrive.

It's Spring in West Virginny.

Saturday should be less than 50% for most of the day till 5pm, which means folks can head out on routes and also that we should be able to do lots of demo rides at the Triumph Truck. If there is rain Saturday it should be limited to occasional drizzle. We are discussing how to accommodate dinner and the raffle on Saturday evening. I expect at least a couple of tarps and pop-ups for people to stay dry under. (I'm bringing two.)

Noting that it is not supposed to be the heavy downpours we've seen in the past, expect a light rain through Saturday night till about 11am Sunday.
