    Howdy, my name is Patrick

Welcome! Assuming valve checks have been performed at specified intervals (every 26K)? Take a look at the rubber vacuum plug on the right side throttle body sync port, they tend to get brittle and crack. While you're at it, sync those TB's. That's all I got, the smart guys in the room will be...

    S10 v GS 1300 (or 1200)

Well, the S10 doesn't require a driveshaft replacement every 36K miles.....I'd say that's a "virtue". ;) "For the BMW R 1300 GS, BMW explicity recommends replacing the shaft every 36 000 miles / 60 000 km. This is quite a big job, but important preventative maintenance."...

Yamaha Super Tenere MOTO-TAG photo game

I hate to contradict Ericv, but the rules are listed in post #8. (no file photos)

Yamaha Super Tenere MOTO-TAG photo game

I respectfully (and vehemently) disagree......I was explicitly told NO FILE PHOTOS when I posted a file shot, the rationale being that the whole purpose of this thread is to get people out and riding. I could probably have grabbed 90% of the tags here if file photo's were allowed, please...

AltRider tail luggage rack storage ideas

Kinda sorta but not explicitly (and not advertised as such, it's just heavy denier nylon). I used a ziploc freezer bag for stuff I didn't want to get wet.

Wrong screws came with SW Motech tank ring?

Is there really such a thing as a screw being too long? :p

Yamaha Super Tenere MOTO-TAG photo game

Yeah, I probably should have bought the R. Hopping curbs on cast wheels is kinda dicey.

Yamaha Super Tenere MOTO-TAG photo game

Next up: Animal statue or statue of local hero. Local hero Secretariat, just in time for the 150th Run for the Roses on Saturday. Bonus points for hopping the median onto the roundabout for a better picture:

    Mosko Reckless 80Ls

Sorry, too little too late, but I can confirm the R80's work fine on the S10 without any additional racks, guards, etc. https://yamahasupertenere.com/index.php?threads/show-us-your-panniers.2767/post-525716

AltRider tail luggage rack storage ideas

It's referred to as the "Super Tenere Tail Bag" on the Storm site's gallery page, drop them an email and see what they say?

The end of a beautiful relationship?

I could be wrong but as I understand it, when it gets "flooded", the cylinder walls get washed down with fuel which flushes the oil film away and causes a large loss in compression (temporarily) resulting in even more woe when trying to get it started.

need part number for map sensor

Dumb question but I have to ask: Is it plugged in? And plugged in firmly?

    My very 1st Bike.

So, you believe a woman when she says "size doesn't matter"? :D (just kidding, Jocelin is an amazing talent) If you're into the you tube thing, take a look at this young lady's channel. I've followed her journey from being a complete noob, afraid to leave the confines of a parking lot, to...

    RPM range & highway riding

Well, when your ripping across the High Plains in WY, and the speed limit is 80, and the semis are doing 85-90, you gotta kinda shit or get off the pot simply as a matter of self-preservation. I do agree with your sentiment though, and those speeds certainly weren't comfortable, but.....when in...

Man....I wish I didn't have acrophobia and mild vertigo (twice as much fun on a motorcycle, as you can imagine), these mountain trips look amazing. :(
