What TenereGUY has been up too

You DEFINITELY need to keep an eye on the rear pads. The wear faster than the fronts!!! Like twice as fast because of the linked brakes I guess! Ive gone through 2 sets of stock pads in 24K. Im using the OE Suzuki pads!

What TenereGUY has been up too

Air Filters/ oil filters/oil/ coolant/brake fluid etc are all personal choices. There are many great examples of these. Ive had BMC/K&N's on my my Vehicles that I operate on road mostly. I have one in my 4Runner but only in Winter. In Summer I put a stock paper filter back in. Thats just me.I...

What TenereGUY has been up too

Im not saying that Gauze filters dont work. They are great for road/track bikes and flow air well and most track road bikes use them. When they came out in the early 70's many offroad racers ran them for a SHORT time. I just know of many and I mean many instances with offroad cars/bikes where...

What TenereGUY has been up too

What I did was call Uni in Ca. ,IIRC, and talk to one of the tech guys. I asked about the Longevity of the filters being pre oiled like the ones in the link I posted. He said 10 years, which IIRC was when these were spec'd in OZ, was a bit long and they do break down. I have foam filters on ALL...

What TenereGUY has been up too

https://www.ebay.com/itm/184129659031 These! The only problem I see with them is these are 10 Y.O. N.O.S. and I'd just buy the pods new from Uni here in The U.S. I know that foam filters do have a shelf life.

Not a big fan of gauze filters. Back in my Dez racing days many a motor toasted by dirt getting by. There fine for road work but I would never trust one for offroad "dusty" escapades. Out this way we get areas of powdery silty crap that's very, very fine. I. currently have a stock paper one but...

Where I live now in SW Idaho there are very few paved roads BUT many dirtroad options.I live about 25 miles from where the IDBDR crosses hwy 21 near Lowman,ID. Ridden a lot of terrain in the...

I have a friend who's parents owned the Oregon House store IF you know where that is. He then lived in Sutter before buying a home, recently, in Browns Valley. I, also had a friend that lived in Chicago Park back in the day.I also drove a route truck way back in my youth up the Hwy80 Corridor up...

    Surprisingly unreliable.

Never replaced a fork seal due to failure??? You, my friend, are one in a million. I can honestly say Ive never heard that before. Do you ever rebuild your forks? You never had forks resprung/revalved? On fluid changes I ALWAYS replace the seals. Its a wear item. Now that being said I have fixed...

Wow Guy! Been off the forum for a bit so I thought Id see what you were up to. First what a blessing you are to your family. You did the right thing by avoiding Polaris as people who live here have problems with them, not just the 700's, ALL THE TIME. The Honda is a much better option-as YOU...

Rear Master Cylinder/ SubFrame cover "cowl" on Gen 2 ST's

Gotcha. I assumed that since they were on the world crosser bikes that we saw here in the "Show" pictures, but never got stateside, that it was part of the package that Yamaha put together for that roll out. So who made them, Pyramid? I dealt with them years ago when they produced a hugger for...

Rear Master Cylinder/ SubFrame cover "cowl" on Gen 2 ST's

THAT'S the ones I was referring to, but I believe they were only offered for 1 or 2 years. IIRC World Crosser were not available stateside. I wish they were they look a lot better than the stock/aftermarket ones.
