    Jackup kit choice

The stock shocks are actually very good. The only other thing I’ve done was to have upgraded valves placed within the front shocks, at the same time as having a blown seal replaced (continue reading). I ride with the setting of “two up (two helmets)” and vary between the hard and standard...

    Jackup kit choice

Lust Racing, 25mm in my current and previous ST. Made huge difference in clearance. I ride super hard, sorta endura style, never been an issue (in case you are wondering).

    Radiator fan protection?

Same thing happened to me after dropping the bike in really thick sand. I did what you are thinking of doing, adding washes, which had no effect on the cooling performance of the fan and stopped it from happening again (I ride hard, so drop it often).

If you *had* to ride a different bike, what would you pick?

Definitely the Mitas. Great all round, good puncture resistance and great mileage.

Your body may be trying to tell you something.

Heat exhaustion resulting in fatality one of the biggest risks adv riding in Aus, particularly in late spring when the odd stinker of a day gets thrown at you. I organise and lead a group of us (8 mates) that always ride together. Being prepared is one thing, but knowing each others traits and...
