Suggestion for a brake disc bike lock

Nothing will really stop theft, but a good deterent will hopefully encourage those idiots to rather give it a pass and try another one. I'm not much in favour of recovery systems such as GPS trackers, because once they've taken my pride and joy away I'm not sure that I would want it back. I'd...

    Harzard flashers glitch

    1. Any idea why my front right indicator does not work when switching hazard lights on? I've got a 2010 model and it came standard with hazards. The turn signal indicator works perfectly, but only doesn't flash with the hazards. All three other lights flash normally. I've wiggled some wires...

Suggestion for a brake disc bike lock

I had a spare pair of police handcuffs lying around with the one side stuck in the locked position, so I cut it off and put the single cuff through the front brake disc. Works well, but is prone to rust, so apply WD40 once in a while. And it doesn't take up much space when not in use. Also good...

    DIY Luggage rack

Possible, yes, but in my case I had to cut away a few inches on the back of the mudguard because of the damage the dislodged bar light made when it came off, dangling only on its wire. So the mudguard was shortened a bit and I fitted the Fenda Extenda, as the mudguard looked a bit odd and lost...

Only downside is that I can't put my passenger seat back with that luggage "platform", but it's fine. Don't like carrying a passenger anyway.

    DIY Luggage rack

Yes, I've loaded it with some heavy stuff on a trip, had one or two horizontal moments, etc. and it's still perfect. I had my doubts about the polucarb, but it doesn't budge under strain such as tying stuff down. Was worth the effort (and the money saved). I've made a couple of things myself -...

    Oxford heated grips

Over the weekend I fitted Oxford heated grips to my S10. What a game changer. Simple, top quality and super easy to use - just like the Super Tenere. It's a luxury I've never had in my 20 years of traffic policing and trips on my my own bikes. Makes negotiating the current Cape Town storms a...

Hi all. Got my Super Tenere in November and the world opened up for me. Great forum packed with helpful info and hints. Yamaha riders rock! I had a XT500 for many years and the Tenere is the closest I could get to filling the gap left after stupidly selling it.
