Welcome from Somerset!

I was born in Surrey, Ottershaw near Chertsey. I see you are near Leatherhead.

We have a small group of S10 based in the UK so look out for rideouts in the UK/Euro section of the forum.

Hope to see you soon.

cheers
Mark

Welcome aboard.

You have some aftermarket grips, even if they are sold by Yamaha dealers. Here is a thread about the actual OEM grips and how they are wired. With the exchange rate, they are not too much more than buying another set of what you have and will allow control from the existing switch-set and instrument cluster.

thanks for the welcome everyone.
can someone tell me if this rack is standard?
I'm thinking of fitting a Givi box but suspect this rack is not as it should be.

And since he brought the rack up....it has to be removed before mounting the OE top box, right?

Yes to both of you. It does come stock and it needs to be removed to instal the Givi mount or to put on the Yamaha top case.

Thanks for the info.  I just haven't got around to putting the top box on yet.

I'm hoping to get my box this week and will try to get if fixed in place. I spent weeks trying to decide on which size and finally opted for the 42litre over the 58 as I really only use the bike for commuting.
