G'day guys and gals. Finally got my s10
« on: July 10, 2017, 05:23:09 am »
So after a few years on a few other bikes new and mostly old Ive finally got my s10.
Ive always liked the Tenere from years back before I owned a bike or grew a brain.

My first bike was/is a 2008TDM 900. Fantastic bike and still in the stabble with way more than the 100K on it. Its this bike that was at the time a close and easy step towards a legend.
Latter I bought a 660r. Interestingly this was my first choice bike until I sat in the dealers with both bikes side by side and I bought the most bike for th dollars. But the 660 itch was not satisfied so a few years latter I bought a new unit.
I had that bike 4 years and only managed about 8000 k's. What a disapointment.
So I bought a secondhand ST1300 and traded that a few weeks ago for the s10.
Honda managed 157,000ks in just on 4 years.
But the s10 was always going to happen.

After this years IBA Australia Muster in Renmark South Australia I made the decision to just get the bike. Just go do it.

So I did.

Its a sixth month 2015 Es with some fruit. Just added the first set of driving lights, designed my own screen brace stays that will double up as a location to add two small cover lights to fill in that black hole in the night sky.
A group of us are building Auxiliary fuel cells shortly.
Luggage? well its got the OEM rack brackets but Im thinking Givvi or Trax or whatever. I want to go soft luggage for the scrub and hard luggage for the IBA stuff.

Anyway thanks for letting me aboard .

Cheers
Gatey

You will come to love it. Spend time on the ergonomics...foot to gear lever, hand to clutch lever, eliminate throttle cable free play...pays dividends.
