24 k service today & a new set of anakee 3's, I'm packing for Norway at the moment - shipping the bike off on Thursday - not long to go - not 100% sure how long i'm there for or how i'm getting back yet.

Packing a bit differently this year, new duffel bag/tankbag/pannier liners, plus a fancy new tent which i'm hoping after several day's use won't be feel like much more work to put up/down.

I also found the sticker pack I was looking for a while back and have some tank pads now - i prefer its look now.

The silver is a bit unusual and good looking! Enjoy Norway.

AltRider Crash guards installed today. Got them from Jaxon. Sweat and Elbow grease when you do it on your own. That Radiator post rubber grommet was one big PITA.

But done.

Just added a set of Sargent seats. Hopefully this helps with my sore tailbone from my sorta long commute, ~80 miles each way..

Torque Wrench:

Instructions say screws on billet bar to be tightened to 8nm and the 19mm Mount Bolts to be tightened to 75nm.

Is there a wrench available that can handle both the settlings?

Beam types will do it but I recommend against them on the lower end of the range b/c they are not particularly easy to be precise with. Much prefer the clicker types and have two for different ranges. I work on my MTB's all the time and carbon fiber is not something you want to over-toque.

This craftsman will cover the range

I rode my RED 2015 to the summit of MT. Evans, Colorado today which is the highest paved road in North America.  I have tried to ride to the top numerous times over a 20 year time span with negative results due to the fact that the road is open only from sometime in June each year, yet closes after a Labor Day every year.  One more ride off the bucket list.

Any recommendations on the two I should have. So many choices on Amazon.

If you didn't get a sicker, it didn't happen.  ;D

Hi Dennis.
You're only young once.
BUT, you can be immature forever! :-)

In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice.
In practice, there is.

Mine are craftsman (lots of people don't like the current quality of their tools but mine are pretty old) but probably any reputable brand will be fine.

FYI - whenever you are finished using them remember to back the setting back out past zero to detention the spring otherwise they eventually get out of calibration.

Installed my ECU that I had Anthony re-flash for me and went for a ride.

Wow! This should have been the first mod I did. So much smoother, easier to control in low rpms, more linear throttle response, no more stupid engine braking at 2,000 rpms and holy power when you crack the throttle!  ::26::

That is what I am talking about! This what the bike should have been all along.

If you are on the fence about having your ECU flashed, stop hesitating and do it! I highly recommend Anthony, send an email to member AVC8130 to contact him.

Finally installed my catless oem exhaust. Easier job than I thought!  Add Uni filters..   I had Alt rider crash bar from my Gen 1 that I put on my Gen 2 and clearance was tight with the Gen 2 exhaust on the rear alt rider cross bar. Gave the cross bar a couple of good whacks with the BFH and plenty of clearance and fits perfect!
Lube shifter lever linkage. Used marine grade grease. Looks like Moly paste was oem lube?
Had an issue which will is in another thread with an attempted throttle body sync......

I want to get out and test ride sooooo bad! But waiting for rush hour traffic to be done!

No, it's a Ravetech skid plate. Mounts to the frame, not the sump. I really like it.
