Busted final drive breather cap off
« on: November 03, 2014, 05:16:48 am »
Dammit! I was moving some things around in garage tonight. Anyway, long story short, I busted the cap off the diff breather. Can I glue it back on or is it going to need replacing? Also, can I ride without the cap?
Most times I do what I have to do, but sometimes, I do what I want to do.

Try it on a short ride and see what happens.

This could be the chance for you to do a mod the that breather. Like this...

A replacement breather is $7.70 from Stadium Yamaha.  I would just buy a new one.

I broke the cap off the drive train breather. Is the rest of the plug pressed in or threaded? What would be the best tool to remove this part?

You missed the memo. Every one of the photos you've posted over the years is now blocked. The internet has been on fire about this, because this act by PB has screwed up forums all over the world.

Why do I get the feeling Ebay has a finger in the frosting bowl on this issue?
They snagged Craigslist awhile back now you have to pay $10.00 to run a help wanted add don't know what other spots they charge..
