Arizoner, I'm 1/2" taller than you and long torso. I have a madstad bracket off of my old 2012 and a gen1 tall Parabellum windshield (also gen1) on my gen2 2016. It's very quiet in my opinion. My buddy has a different windshield on his '14 and mine is quieter. You can put a gen2 Parabellum on your stock flimsy bracket but you'll probably need those brackets that someone is selling here to reduce vibration.

I found good luck with a Parabellum medium, Madstadt bracket (and braces), and winglets.  I also found that mirror extenders had a large effect on buffeting and associated noise levels.  I had a tall Parabellum but found I had to have it at the lowest setting to avoid looking through it or experiencing a lens effect between looking through or over the windscreen.  The medium is plenty tall and gives me some adjustability.  I'm a hair over 6 feet.

All that said, at freeway speeds, there is simply going to be more noise.  But with my current setup, if I put my head into the windstream, it is noticeably louder.

If noise is your chief concern, you might want to look into earplugs.  I ride with earplugs most of the time, but especially if I'm going to hit highway/freeway speeds.

National Cycle VStream  windscreen helped a lot w/ the wind noise for me.  For reference, I'm 6 ft w/ 32 - 33 inch inseam.  Also used VStream on my FJR with good success.

did you get the mid size or tall size VStream windshield?
