How does it do in rain?

I assume it doesn't do rain since its not a sealed unit... I Would just stuff it in my pocket during a rain anyway. I've used it in light rain and the wind from the deflectors makes water go around it so i've never had a problem -- but I am 100% sure its not water proof so I would just remove it when it rains heavily.

Remember that the cig plug this goes into only has a 3 amp fuse and the wire is sized for that fuse, not a bigger one.
Newer cell phones take 2amps, a GPS is 1-3 amp, and whatever draw this device consumes needs to also be added in.

Where did you find that piece? It would be helpful to have a supplier, part # etc. I'm in Kingston ON. Thanks!

I did a reverse image search on tineye.com and came up with this...

It's a start anyway.

This one has high reviews and I ordered it a couple of days ago. It doesn't have any charging ports so you would need to unplug too charge anything.
